152TH's Modulated by a pair of 304TL's

This Xmtr was originally built by Bruce, W9OTN, when he was 17 years old in 1959. He sold the Xmtr in 1965. When it left, it had a pair of 304TL's modulated by four 810's with an RCA Mod Xfmr. Bruce reacquired the Xmtr in 1983 in pretty sad condition. The wiring insulation all rotted, the Filament Xfrm missing and modulator had a pair of 810's. He offered to give the Xmtr to Bill, N4VMY, in 1994. The understanding was that Bill would rebuild the Xmtr to his specifications and market it. The proceeds of which would be donated to a missionary in Haiti. I, KJ9T, purchased the Xmtr in 1995. The Complement of Tubes is now a pair of 152TH's modulated by a pair of 304TL's. The modulation Xfmr is a 500 watt RCA. Excitiation and Audio is accomplished by a DX-100. The 1625's triode configured and the bias raised so the audio is running class A1. A modulaton reactor has been incorporated in the lineup. Audio is controled by a Volumax 4000 limiter. Note that the 152's are in front of the picture window and the B&W Butterfly is chain driven and in the rear of the RF Deck. A nice touch as I enjoy viewing the orange plates when transmitting.
